British Heart Foundation quiz night

The Peterborough Rugby Club function room was buzzing as over 100 people from local businesses took part in the 2nd British Heart Foundation Annual ‘Brian Crack’ Memorial Shield on Thursday 2nd November.

The Peterborough Rugby Club function room was packed with 18 teams took part in the British Heart Foundation fundraising quiz night.

18 teams took part, including 2 teams representing Insurewise Ltd, to demonstrate their knowledge on a wide range of subjects including Languages and Literature, Sport and Games and Pot Luck.  The winning team represented Ravenscroft Investments UK with the Insurewise teams coming a respectable 5th and 6th.

But the real winner on the night was the British Heart Foundation who raised £1,924 from the proceeds of the night.

The Insurewise B Team, Jackie, Neil, Sarah and Jo.

The team from the British Heart Foundation also received a cheque for £730 raised by friends and colleagues of a local sporting hero, Mick Daykin,  sadly passed away suddenly last year.

Our Managing Director, Neil McCulloch, an ambassador for the Peterborough British Heart Foundation Group, helped to organise the event said “It was great to support such a great cause in a fun and inspiring way.  I’d like to thank Peterborough Rugby Club for hosting the event and Buckles Solicitors, Brooks, Wealth Management, Hotpoint, Mulberry Rose Reflexology and everyone who donated prizes to raise funds on the evening but, most of all, I’d like to thank everyone who came along to this event and dipped their hands deep in their pockets to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation who undertake lifechanging work on behalf of those that need it.”
